PRESS: Sources say Samsung may return to Russian mkt by end 2022

MOSCOW, Sep 15 (PRIME) -- Samsung may return to the Russian market by the end of 2022, including the recovery of shipments of devices and the official online store, daily Izvestiya reported on Thursday quoting several sources.

“The South Korean company may resume sales already in October,” a source close to a large retailer told the daily.

A representative of an online store said that the seller is not interested in imports of Samsung’s devices because official supplies can reopen soon.

One of the sources said that the reason of talks about the return might be the fact that Samsung has just upgraded its Russian website, which now shows the producer’s new smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

“It can be interpreted anyway, but it is a positive sign,” Mobile Research Group analyst Eldar Murtazin said.
